Vector Art part 2

Part 2 is about the remedy for their problem (is to have a child) and the newborn baby taken by the sorceress.  

Like before, two sketch of the vector art.

The first draft, remedy, will present the lettuce that the husband took from a mysterious place that was placed in the woods. I wanted to high light the lettuce by placing it in the middle, behind the anxious wife. Along with rays of light to give the dynamic and tension.  

The second, taken away, was about their newborn child taken away by the sorceress, as she cast a horrible spell on them that turned them into stone.

Remedy

In this piece, I wanted them to idealized this bowl of lettuce. This not only hopes for them as its a sign of happiness. But they have no idea what the price they would have to sacrifice after eating the lettuce. 

That is way i use a dark background and incorporate bright yellow. 

Taken Away

This piece is different than "Remedy". I used colours that gave dynamic to my pic, like the warm colour. Putting bold colour in my piece gives tension and a sensation of fear coming from the couple.

However, to indicate the similarity of the child and the couple I used a blue-light colour to show the difference. Another is the couple turning into stone. This is a struggle for me as I wanted to present in the simplest form. So after several attempts,i decide to use black to indicate the chnages.

There's one more thing to high light, that is the shape. The baby was a round shape, same as the cradle, as she gives no harm to everyone. As for the wife I used an oval shape to present a similarity between the mother and daughter. However, the husband was shaped more angular as he steals the lettuce without any approval. Last, the sorceress, obviously she was shaped in a hexagon-ish shape, as she committed the most crime among them.
